After a three-year hiatus, HBO confirms that production on Euphoria season 3 will begin in January 2025, with a possible premiere in the second half
Last Friday (12), HBO confirmed that the Euphoria Season 3 Recordings Begin is set for January 2025, three years after the second season premiered. The series was delayed because producer Sam Levinson was still working on the scripts. after the end of the writers’ strikebut production early this year allows for a new season to be released in 2025.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, executive vice president of HBO ProgrammingFrancesca Orsi, revealed that she “can’t wait to ‘bring to life’ the new season of Euphoria”.
“I am thrilled to be ready to begin production on Euphoria in January. We couldn’t be happier with our creative partnership with Sam and this incredible cast. We can’t wait to bring this new season of Euphoria to life for fans,” said Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of programming, head of series and films, HBO.
Time skip
The first arches of Euphoria placed the Zendaya’s main characters AND Sydney Sweeney in the final years of high school (High School), and of course it wouldn’t make sense to stop the narrative at this time for the sequel. So much so that anonymous sources have informed The Hollywood Reporter that fans can expect a significant time jump for the series next year.

As it turns out, part of the delay in producing the scripts was due to conversations between Levinson and HBO to figure out exactly how far into the future it would make sense to place the next season.
