Maraisa confirms the end of her engagement on the eve of the wedding

Singer asks for respect and privacy after ending her relationship with Fernando Mocó

Singer Maraisa announced this Sunday (14/7) the end of her engagement to Fernando Mocó. In a statement released by the press office, the country singer said that “life goes on for everyone”, without going into detail about the reason for the end. The couple was supposed to get married in October.

“Maraisa confirms the end of her relationship with Fernando Mocó. For a year they lived an intense and happy relationship, but, for reasons that only concerned them, it ended. From now on, life goes on for each, always counting on being satisfied with their choices”, said the councilor.

Requests for respect and privacy

Maraisa announced that she did not want to talk about the matter and asked for respect for her decision. On Thursday (7/11), she stopped following Fernando on Instagram, and the businessman also stopped following her, sparking rumors about the end of their engagement. Initially, the farmer’s press office denied any information about the end of the story.

A story of breakups and reconciliations

This isn’t the first time that Maraisa and Fernando have ended their engagement. In November last year, they stopped following each other on Instagram and archived all the photos they had together. At the time, the artist explained that the breakup occurred due to the difficulty of reconciling the relationship with her professional routine, full of travel and commitments.

However, three days later, she put on her engagement ring again and the couple announced their reconciliation, getting back together at Christmas.

Postponement of marriage and indirect

The two had planned to get married in October, but last week they postponed the date. According to the national team, this was due to logistical reasons and not a crisis in their relationship.

In addition to the postponement, both Maraisa and Mocó exchanged indirect messages. The singer posted an image on Stories with the phrase: “They say sincerity hurts, but I believe that lies do much more damage.” The entrepreneur had previously shared a motivational moment: “To be great, you must first learn to be small. To be humble, you must first learn to be simple. To be human, you just have to be true.”

This Sunday, the country singer posted a motivational quote that could be seen as indirect: “Loneliness is not being alone. Loneliness is being in your own company and loving it.” She also revealed that she was watching the religious series “The Chosen.”

The artist has been single since January 2021, when she separated from musician Fabrício Marques.
