A Better Life Preview: What’s in store for Tuesday 16 July 2024 episode 136 [SPOILERS]

Yolande cannot appreciate it

Mirta is in the hospital for cataract surgery. Yolande visits him before the intervention. The latter is extremely tense due to the appointment in the audit. And for good reason, this time, he won’t be able to count on Mirta’s support.

A few hours later, at Massalia’s residence, Yolande evaluates the audit. This woman controls all his actions, which worries him. As he tries to fill out the resident exit form, the audit asks him to hurry.

In her defense, Yolande explains to her that usually Mirta takes care of all the administrative stuff and she oversees the more technical tasks. Suddenly, Steve comes and asks for help with the washing machine. Yolande makes the mistake of telling him that Mirta is taking care of him.

He manages to make up for his mistake by explaining to the auditor that he would rather the population get away with it. Before leaving, the audit made several remarks to him, namely that some of the washing machines operate during off-peak hours and that this is not environmentally friendly. But that’s not all, he also informs Yolande that he will be back to evaluate Mirta in 48 hours.

At the end of the day, Mirta returns to Masalia’s residence. The surgery went well and he has to wear a blindfold for 24 hours. To reassure him, Yolande makes him believe that his date went perfectly.

He tells her that he also has an appointment with Audition this Thursday at 11am. Mirta replies that she cannot work. Not knowing what to do anymore, Yolande has no choice but to tell him the truth: “We’re stuck.”

Jennifer tries her best for everything

At a seaside vacation home, Jennifer plays darts with Laurent. He tries to manipulate her by bringing her childhood memories to the surface. And suddenly he sees a runner running over the rocks.

Jennifer asks Laurent to get a drink and he leaves for a few minutes. He takes the opportunity to write a message on a piece of paper, which he then tries to send to the woman using an arrow. But at the same time Laurent comes out of the house and sees the scene.

Laurent retrieves the SOS that his little sister tried to send running, then hits the syringe. A few minutes later, as soon as his sister wakes up, he tells her that they will have to go on the road again because she doesn’t trust him.

Samuel puts himself in danger

In Mistral, Samuel continues his solo investigation into Jennifer’s disappearance. He asks Gabrielle to locate the old photo of the young woman with her parents and brother. He said to his cousin: “This place is their last happy moment together before their parents die.”

Although she doesn’t really believe in Samuel’s theory, Riva agrees to help him. After some research, he managed to find the GPS coordinates of where he believed the photo was taken. Samuel immediately goes to the scene.

In turn, Thomas rushes to inform the police commissioner that Samuel went on a mission alone. So Meilin asks Ariane to go there with reinforcements. Minutes later, Gabrielle and Thomas inform Babette that the drowning video is likely staged. All three are worried about Samuel and especially Gabriel.

Samuel arrived at the rest house. He hears Laurent yelling at Jennifer. He walks to the spot and points the gun in Laurent’s direction. The latter immediately runs away. While Samuel follows, Ariane and his team take turns arriving. Laurent is surrounded as if trapped.

Laurent grabs a knife and threatens to kill himself. Jennifer comes and asks her brother not to do such a thing. At the same time, Ariane manages to channel Laurent. The latter was handcuffed and then taken to a police car.

Before leaving, Ariane confides in Jennifer: “Everyone thought you were dead, everyone but Samuel found you today thanks to him.” Jennifer looks Samuel straight in the eyes and kisses him.
