David Schumacher, son of former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher, has praised his father’s decision to publicly admit his homosexual relationship with Frenchman Etienne. David commented on Ralf’s Instagram post and wished the couple happiness.

“I’m so happy you’ve finally found someone you feel truly comfortable and safe with. It doesn’t matter if it’s a man or a woman, I support you 100%. Wishing you all the best and congratulations,” David wrote.

David, 22, is also a pilot and is the result of Ralf’s relationship with German actress Cora Schumacher, to whom the 49-year-old former pilot was married for 14 years. The young man, very close to his father, lives with him in Salzburg, Austria.

Last Sunday, 14, Ralf posted a photo with his boyfriend. “The most beautiful thing in life is when you have the right partner by your side with whom you can share everything,” he said.
