Shannen Doherty’s death: Channels disrupt their programming to pay tribute to the actor

This Saturday, July 13, Shannen Doherty died at the age of 53 after a long battle with cancer. Since then, many Charmed and Beverly Hills stars have taken to social media to pay their last respects to the actor who left his mark on an entire generation of fans of the series.

In honor of Shannen Doherty’s memory, 6ter has decided to change its programming this Tuesday, July 16 and cancel the films Stalingrad and Angélique et le sultan to offer a special evening in her honor.

New documentary on 6ter

Sixth time viewers will be able to see the new documentary Shannen Doherty: Star of Our Iconic Series, which looks back at the actress’ career from her debut in Little House in Beverley to her glory days. Hills and Charmed.

The channel will then air reruns of the first four episodes of Charmed’s first season, a chance to see (or rewatch) Shannen Doherty’s debut on the iconic series. For the more nostalgic, all eight seasons of Charmed are available in their entirety on Prime Video.

Starting at 12:30 a.m., 6ter presents “Welcome to Olesonville,” the third episode of season 9 of Little House on the Prairie, the series in which the actor made his debut at age 11. She played Jenny Wilder, the niece of Almonzo (Dean Butler), who was adopted by her uncle and Laura (Melissa Gilbert) after her father’s death.

AB1 replaces programs

Starting this Monday, July 15, AB1 will shake up its programming to pay tribute to Shannen Doherty. From 8:55 p.m., viewers will be able to watch a rerun of Beverly Hills, the iconic 90s TV series that featured the actress.

The series follows a group of high school students who must navigate friendship, love, crises and drama before going to university and then entering adulthood. Shannen Doherty played Brenda’s (Jason Priestley) twin sister Brenda.
