After The Boys, this actor doesn’t want to hear about superheroes anymore… and we understand!

It’s the series that gets people talking about it every week, for better or for worse. Prime Video is airing a weekly Season 4 of The Boys, its trashy and irreverent superhero series.

In this new batch of episodes, Hugh and the rest of his team try to take down the Protector once and for all, as does Victoria (Claudia Dumitt), who dreams of becoming president.

Anthony Starr’s character is scarier than ever, this time surrounded by the smartest woman in the world (and Sage) to carry out his plan and establish his dominance over the country. And with her son, Ryan, she’s already preparing for the next generation…

We know that The Boys will end at the end of season 5, which is expected in 2025 or even 2026. After that, each actor of the series will be able to continue his work. And on that subject, the Protector interpreter already knows what he doesn’t want to do: play in another superhero production.

“Who is she exactly?”

On the American show Happy Sad Confused with his co-stars, Starr responded to a rumor started by fans that he was going to lend his features to Booster Gold, the DC superhero, in a project that was unofficially in the works:

“Mr. Gold, who is he exactly? Really, I don’t know… I’m getting old and my body can’t handle as many action scenes as it used to. What I want is a role where I sit at a desk, like in the TV series CSI. (laughs).

If fans have suggested an actress to play Starr, it’s mostly because Gold and The Protector are physically similar (blonde hair…) and they’re attracted to fame (but there’s someone who abuses her more). But it stops there.

Why was superhero movies expected to decline?

At 48, the New Zealand actor seems keen to take some time to himself after hanging up his Guardian suit. It must be said that after playing such a violent and cynical character for at least 5 years, you have to know how to distance yourself a bit…
