A little more: Artus’ comedy phenomenon reaches a new milestone at the box office

Let’s go back a few months, to the dawn of May 1st: who would have thought that Artus’ first film, despite the very positive response that declared it a huge success, would become the phenomenon it is now? The term is far from usurping, moreover, for a small item that has just reached a new milestone at the box office.

Two and a half months after its release, the comedy attracted 9,096,261 viewers in French cinemas. It thus finds itself at the gates of France’s top 40 greatest hits of all time, ahead of Emmanuel (who took a few years to reach the mark) and behind the trio of L’Ours, Le Grand Bleu and Le Dinner. Idiots. which should not last long.

For several weeks now, Un p’tit truc en plus has been ahead of Francis Weber’s comedy with Jacques Villeret and Thierry Lhermite. And now it’s only a matter of days before Artus and the cast of his film surpass them and head for the ten million mark. And then ?

We are going, what should we do with the good Lord?

If the additional trifle increasingly closes its gap, what can we do with the good Lord? (12,366,033 records), is now unlikely to equal his score. But who knows because the feature film has lived up to all the predictions since its release?

And if it did not coincide with the comedy of Philippe de Chevron, other very popular films may succumb to the phenomenon: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, War of the Buttons, The Lion King (the original and its remake and actual footage). Les Bronzés 3, 3 hommes et un bassinet, and Taxi 2. Even Le Corniaud, which would put him close to the top 20 of history’s greatest hits.

All Artus needs is one more big thing, three million more scratched tickets to make it happen. But the summer holidays could be a major asset for him to achieve this.
