Tonight on Netflix: Cute characters and high tech, you’ll love this Korean K-drama!

In South Korea’s fictional Silicon Valley called Sandbox, young entrepreneurs who want to turn their virtual dreams into reality compete in the tough world of Korea’s high-tech industry.

On the one hand, Seo Dal-mi (Bae Suzy) is a brilliant and ambitious young woman who dreams of starting her own company despite her modest background and lack of education. On the other hand, Nam Do-san (Nam Joo-hyuk), a math genius, was once the pride of his family. Now he is the founder of Samsan Tech, a small company that has been in decline for several years.

Dal-mi and Do-san then join forces to challenge the other candidates for a spot in the Sandbox. What unites them? Nothing a priori, except that Dal-mi misremembers Do-san as a secret pen pal she had when she was a kid and who she considers her first love. The young man then decides to climb the ladder in the hope that this misunderstanding will turn into reality. It will be without the hope of his real correspondent (Kim Seon-ho) who also works at Sandbox…
