In the Japanese animation “Kaiju No. 8”, Japan has been devastated by villains and giant monsters who, when they fight against the heroes, leave the city destroyed. It is up to a special team to clean up the city so that the civilians can return to their routines.
What no one tells you about this job, however, is that cleaners are constantly confronted with danger, and that even a task that should be fairly simple can put your life at risk. Next, check out more about the hit anime on Crunchyroll.
Kaiju No. 8: What is Crunchyroll’s hit anime about?
Have you ever stopped to think about the damage left in a city area after a battle between a villain and a hero? Destroyed buildings, cars on top of houses, streets covered in blood and organs: these are just some of the details that must be resolved before civilians can resume their normal lives.
Japan has long been plagued by grotesque monsters and villains, nicknamed “Kaiju.” To deal with this threat, the Japanese Defense Forces take direct action against the Kaiju, but leave behind a terrible mess. This is where companies like “Monster Sweeper, Inc.” come in. Their agents must clean the streets of blood, organs, and debris that result from the Kaiju’s battle against the Defense Forces.

Kafka Hibino and her best friend, Mina Ashiro, have always dreamed of joining the glamorous Defense Force team, but only the girl can pull it off. When she becomes captain of the 3rd division, Hibino reluctantly joins the Monster Sweeper cleanup team.
What should be a simple job, however, puts him in danger at various times, as well as showing him that even cleaning up a city full of debris is more difficult than it seems.
Kaiju No. 8 is an adaptation of the manga of the same name, written by Naoya Matsumoto, and which can be seen on the streaming system Crunchyroll. The anime contains many action scenes, companionship and a lot of blood.
