The holidays are (already) over for the characters of NCIS: Special Investigations.
Abandoned on May 10 after just 14 episodes, season 19 resumes this Saturday at 9.10pm on M6 at a rate of one new episode per week. Very good news for fans of the hit detective series, who will not notice another change of the box in the channel’s transmission schedule.
Long slated for Friday nights at six, NCIS moved to Tuesday nights last March in France to begin its 19th season following the adventures of Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), McGee (Sean Murray) and others celebrating their farewells. From Mark Harmon, aka Gibbs, at the helm of the team after more than 400 episodes.
And from tonight, NCIS Special Agents will have the honor of Saturday nights on the M6, replacing Bull, whose sixth and final season ended last week.
In Season 19, Episode 15, titled “An Old Acquaintance,” airing this Saturday, the murder of a female quartermaster leads Agent Alden Parker (Gary Cole) to his old friend Billy Doyle, an ex-mobster with whom he made some youthful mistakes.
But when his nephew, who is involved in the case, is also found dead, Doyle’s desire for revenge threatens his friendship with Parker.
Meanwhile, Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) tries to find a man who will agree to accompany her to the wedding to avoid embarrassing questions from her family about her celibacy. And the situation reveals the beginnings of a possible romance between Knight and Jimmy (Brian Dietzen).
While this fledgling attraction continues to build on the remaining episodes of season 19, the finale, which should be offered at the end of August on M6 if the channel moves before the end of the broadcast, will be marked by the return of the enemy. The team knows it well.
Explosive and not to be missed, this final investigation also introduces a new character, Vivian Kolchak (Terry Polo), who is none other than Agent Parker’s ex-wife. A newbie to find in season 20 of NCIS, which begins at the beginning of the school year across the Atlantic on CBS.
