Before becoming famous thanks to Beverly Hills, Tori Spelling already had some experience on the set, since she started in 1981 in several series, including Fantasy Island or The Fun Cruise, but also Hooker.
Donna, such a heart
Tori Spelling (Donna)
In 1990, she joined Beverly Hills as Donna, a slightly shy only child who discovers her dyslexia late in life. She is clearly in love with David (Brian Austin Green), with whom she has a long love affair that is not without its failures.
Among her conquests, Donna experiences several disappointments, some of them serious, such as Ray, who goes so far as to hit her and whom she has the courage to leave.
Donna is also best friends with Kelly Taylor, played by Jenny Garth (also find out what happened to her after the series ended), and quickly becomes close to Brenda (Shannen Doherty, sadly recently deceased) and Andrea (Gabrielle Carteris).
a separate person
During the filming of Beverly Hills, Tori Spelling, like other co-stars, appeared in the spin-off of the series, Melrose Place, for the first two episodes. He also appears in his own role in Scream 2 (1997), possibly echoing his choice to star in 2001’s Scary Movie 2, a horror film parody.
He multiplies projects, but never headlines, before offering another parody, this time of his own life. The project is called So NoTORIous (2006) and the actor achieves comedic strength, an aspect he didn’t really show in Beverly Hills.
His fans, who have not seen them yet, should look at these ten episodes, which at the time did not really find their audience, which led to the cancellation of the project.
Super powers and super mom

Tori Spelling in December 2023
He went on to spend a decade on Smallville as a manipulative and dangerous celebrity journalist from the Daily Planet, discovering that he can turn into water and shape it, then on 90210 Beverly Hills: The Next Generation.
In the two episodes in which she reprises her role, we discover that Donna is the mother of baby Ruby, who she had with David in Japan. Their relationship is complicated and she chooses to return to Beverly Hills, stressing their relationship.
Five years passed before she returned with another project of her own: Mystery Girls, a detective comedy in which she starred opposite Jenny Garth. Here too, the project was canceled after 10 episodes.
Reality TV and a return to Beverly Hills
Alongside her acting career, she regularly produces and appears in reality shows, some of which are successful, such as Tori & Dean: Inn Love (2007 – 2012) and others of shorter duration (True Tori).
After a small role in The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time (2018), he starred in Beverly Hills: BH90210, again a series where he can stage an alternate version of his life. Most of the Beverly Hills cast returns: Shannen Doherty, Jenny Garth, Jason Priestley, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris and Brian Austin Green.
In 2024, he finished filming Kill with Me, a thriller in which contestants are placed in game show booths and must get enough likes from the audience or they will be handed over to a serial killer. We can imagine him as the host of this crazy game…
