The presenter Hoda Kotb questioned whether the parents of Powell were actually in all his films, to which he replied: “They have appeared since Spy Kids 3D. Yes, literally since Spy Kids 3D. I think they’ve been in every one since then.”

“I know we probably messed him up sometimes,” the actor’s mother admitted in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “But you wouldn’t realize it, because he makes everyone feel loved and cared for.”
