Dune: The Prophecy Gets a New Teaser and Coming to Max in November


The Prophecy, a prequel to Dune set ten thousand years before the events of the films, has received another teaser; the series arrives on Max in November

HBO released on Thursday (18) a new teaser for The prophecy, prequel In Dune which takes place ten thousand years after the events shown in Denis Villeneuve’s films. In addition to the new images, which reveal something more about the plot of the series, the company also announced the premiere date of the production, which will arrive in November on Max.



The new one-minute video shows the growth of the Bene Gesserit, the religious and political fraternity of women whose members possess superhuman abilities, and reveals the subtle ways they initially use their powers on the great Houses.

 

The teaser also shows how the brotherhood trains its sorceresses to have maximum control over themselves, thus being able to decisively influence the politics of the Empire. The change of power even causes discord in some parts and causes the group to gain powerful enemies.

Prequel Shows Sister Leadership

Commissioned in 2019 by Legendary Television, Dune: The Prophecy got the green light for its production after the success of Dune (2021) and Dune: Part 2 (2024), feature films that together grossed more than $1.119 billion at the box office.

Created by Diane Ademu-John and with Alison Schapker serving as showrunner, the series follows the rise of sisters Valya (Emily Watson) and Tula Harkonnen (Olivia Williams), who lead the Bene Gesserit in their quest for power and influence through a plan orchestrated over the course of millennia.

In addition to the actresses, the series also features Sarah-Sofie Boussnina (The colony), who gives birth to Princess Ynez, the heir to the throne; Shalom Brune-Franklin (The tourist), who plays Mikaela, a Fremen who works for the royal family; Aoife Hinds (Normal people) as Sister Eveline, a religious acolyte; and Travis Fimmel (Vikings), who plays Desmond Hart, a mysterious soldier, who gets close to the Emperor through the reverends.

In the month of May, in The first teaser of the series had already been releasedshowing the emergence of the group and what appears to be a plot to bring one of the brotherhood’s members to the throne.

With a first season of six episodes, Dune: The Prophecy arrives at Max in November.
