From June 13, fans of The Boys will be watching the 4th season of Eric Kripke’s series and every week they will discover a new episode that is a barrier to the previous one. Based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darric Robertson, this new season of the fictional series continues the adventures of the boys as they try their best to deal with Machiavellian superheroes, especially Homelander and the American government.
With the same violent, cynical and no-nonsense tone that made previous seasons of the series such a success, the fourth set of episodes is nothing but chaos as the world teeters on the brink. Homelander Associate Vice President Victoria Neumann is closer to the Oval Office than ever.
Critically ill, Butcher, with only a few months to live, has lost his role as leader to the boys, who no longer trust him. The team members can no longer tolerate his lies and violent behavior. But they must still unite to save the world before it’s too late.
This Season 4 ends with an explosive finale that leaves the boys in a very bad place. Or does the series still have something to say? Will he be allowed to continue? We have the answer!
There will be a 5th season of “Boys”, but…
The boys will be eligible for a fifth season. It was the Prime Video platform that last May announced the good news of renewing the series for a fifth round of episodes, in addition to spin-offs that are still ongoing and in development.
But a month later, showrunner Eric Kripke announced the bad news on his X account (formerly Twitter), namely that Season 5 of The Boys will be the last! If this information may upset us, we should know that it was always part of Eric Kripke’s plans:
“That was my plan all along, I just had to be careful until I got Vought’s final OK. I’m excited to bring the story to a bloody, epic, wet climax. Watch Season 4 because it’s the beginning of the end. !”
And indeed, after watching The Boys season 4, we understand that these episodes made it possible to begin the end of the series and that the last season promises to be crazy and difficult for The Boys. Will they succeed in saving the world?
We’ll have to wait two years before we find out about Season 5 of The Boys, as Karl Urban (The Butcher) revealed in an Instagram post. Thus, the last series of episodes of the series will be available in 2026.
