HBO’s hit House of the Dragon aired its sixth episode on Sunday (21), heading into the final stages of its adaptation. The series, which follows the history of the Targaryen dynasty, premiered in August 2022, with the second season set to hit streaming platforms in June this year.
When will the last episode of House of the Dragon be released?
Unlike its competitors, HBO maintains the tradition of not releasing all the episodes of its productions at the same time. So, anyone who follows A Casa do Dragão already knows that you have to wait a week between each episode.
They will always be released at 10pm every Sunday. According to Max’s schedule, last Sunday, June 21st, the sixth episode of the saga aired, which leaves us with only two more weekends to go until the end of the saga.
According to the schedule, the last episode of La Casa del Drago will air on Sunday, August 4, at 10:00 p.m.
The sixth episode of House of the Dragon confirmed the arrival of a major event in “Fire & Blood,” the George R.R. Martin novel on which the series is based: the so-called Seeding.
This is when, during the Dance of the Dragons, the Targaryens decide to recruit gentlemen of Valyrian descent to ride their dragons, as they still had many creatures and few riders (see all the dragons of House of Dragons here).
The chapter then shows Rhaenyra telling Sir Steffon Darklyn about her Targaryen ancestry, prompting him to try to claim Seasmoke. The dragon, however, does not accept the knight and incinerates him in front of the Queen. If the series follows the book, many knights die trying to help the heiress.
