Starting August 23, the price of the subscription to the Standard monthly plan of the Max streaming platform will change. However, this change will only affect users who benefit from the 50% lifetime discount, initially offered at the launch of HBO Max in Brazil.
Users with this promotional offer will see the subscription price changed to R$ 19.95 per month, maintaining the 50% discount applied to the current monthly price. Max emphasized in an email sent to users that this discount will continue to be applied as long as the subscription remains active and the conditions of the offer are met.

Other maximum price adjustments
Warner Bros Discovery’s latest streaming pricing adjustment in Brazil came with the move from HBO Max to Max. There are currently three plan options available with monthly or annual payments.

Initially, HBO Max had two plans: mobile and multi-screen. The first ceased to exist when the streaming service changed its name, while users of the Multi-screen plan automatically switched to the Standard Plan.
Therefore, all users included in the lifetime promotion have the Standard Plan. Now, with the adjustment, the discounted value returns to exactly 50% of the plan price.
For these users, the last adjustment occurred in March 2023, when the discounted subscription went from the initial price, R$ 13.95, to the current price, R$ 17.45.
