Stop everything! What if we had the best horror movie of the year with this “original and suspenseful” production?

Will Oddity be the scariest movie of 2024? Released in the United States on July 19, this work by Damian McCarthy caused a lot of enthusiasm in the public on social networks. At the moment, no French release date is known, but it will happen soon.

Oddity introduces Darcy, a blind psychic played by Carolyn Bracken (Samhain, Quiet Girl). A young woman discovers the truth behind her sister’s death with the help of a creepy wooden mannequin.

After Longlegs, a horror thriller that garnered a lot of attention after its release on July 10, it’s Oddity’s turn to hit the headlines on social media.

In Marcus: “Weirdness should get as much attention as Longlegs. This is a really smart, original and incredibly tense horror film; there are some really scary moments, I haven’t seen it in a long time. I recommend it. I can’t wait to see it in theaters with a lot of people.”

Viewing horror will remind you of this “New horror movie Oddity debuts with a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes and is now at 97%. Fans are calling it the scariest movie of the year, giving Longlegs some competition.”

Joe Friar: “The last movie that really scared me was a Texas supernatural thriller Dark and evil. Four years later we have a successor! The weirdness really pissed me off!”

Conor’s movies: “Strange has me hooked on more than one occasion. It delivers an atmospheric, eerie slow burn, with terrific sound design, solid performances, and a very effective jump shot. One of the best horror movies in the world.”

Daniel Cruz: “The phrase ‘scariest’ is often used to describe this type of horror film, but I can tell you that the weirdness made my heart skip a beat, and I’m not exaggerating! It’s full of horror. “Fear, tension, absolutely terrifying images and some of the most effective jump shots in cinema.

Epic movies guys: “It’s a shame more people aren’t talking about Oddity. It gave me more genuine thrills and scares than any other horror movie this year. That sounds great on screen. Go see it in theaters if you can!”

Given the enthusiasm the film has generated across the Atlantic, Oddity should have a French release date soon, and you’ll be able to form your own opinion. Meanwhile, Longlegs shows again!
