On October 9, the Terrifier saga will conclude its trilogy with Episode 3, which promises to be as bloody as it is dangerous. Artie, the killer clown played by David Howard Thornton, will be back to perform tricks on us! This time, he’s out to wreak havoc among the residents of Miles County as they sleep peacefully on Christmas Eve.
Forget Pennywise, this clown is worse!
Behind the camera, Damien Leone is still there, the one who has led this franchise since the first opus in 2016. The latter was released on VOD that year to general indifference. Set to hit US theaters in October 2022, Terrifier 2 has benefited from buzz after causing discomfort and vomiting during screenings.
The specialized press quickly spread this information, and the film became a “rite of passage” for fans of horror cinema. The feature film was released in theaters on January 11, 2023. On a $250,000 budget, Terrifier 2 grossed $15 million worldwide.
More budget, more blood!
For Terrifier 3, Damien Leone benefited from a bigger budget, which allowed him to inject more pints of blood and gruesome visual effects. New images that have been revealed announce a 3rd film that is wickedly bitter and not at all hemoglobin stingy! The lead actor bore the brunt of this single scene himself, suffering from nausea while shooting one of the scenes. “The scariest in the Terrifier franchise.”

According to the director “Terrifier 3 will be an addition to the horror genre that pushes the boundaries and continues the uncompromising exploits that fans of the franchise have come to expect and love. If you thought Arty the Clown’s reign of terror was extreme in the second installment, you’re in for a treat. You haven’t seen anything yet.”
In any case, producer Priscilla Smith has confidence in this project: “The budget will be much bigger to give the director more creative freedom and allow him to be as wild as he can be. Only this !
If you don’t mind an upset stomach, Terrifier 3 hits theaters on October 9, 2024!
