Olympics: SporTV and Globo report rain problems in Paris

The water did not let up during the entire opening ceremony, held on the banks of the Seine, in the City of Lights.

Globo and SporTV broadcasts recorded the difficulties encountered by their teams during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games. Throughout the event, the professionals were exposed to the rain, protected only by plastic covers.

Not only the narrators and journalists were affected, but also the producers. The impact was evident in the broadcast, with the sound of raindrops falling and also the images becoming blurry. The images of the team underwater went viral on social media.

Even big names like Galvão Bueno, Luis Roberto and Milton Leite had to deal with the problem, which persisted throughout the broadcast. Images of the more agitated Seine gave an indication of the amount of rain during the opening ceremony.

Despite the problem, the event went off as normal, without any major problems. Delegations traveled along the Seine by boat, and the Olympic flame went to the Jardin des Tuileries in Paris, where it will remain lit until the end of the Games.
