Delivering everything we expected, Deadpool and Wolverine broke records at the American box office. The sequence became the eighth biggest opening in the country’s history, grossing $205 million in its first three days in theaters. The film is also the biggest debut in history for an adult film, that is, for those over the age of 18.
Deadpool and Wolverine:
Deadpool 3 is the first film to enter production after Disney acquired 20th Century Fox. This also means the film will finally put the hero into the official MCU timeline, one of the reasons the sequel is so highly anticipated.
In addition to Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, the protagonists, the sequel also stars Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Jennifer Garner and Rob Delaney.
Directed by Shawn Levy, Deadpool & Wolverine premiered in Brazil on July 25.
According to the synopsis, Deadpool 3 will place the Marvel character in the TVA multiverse, introduced in the Loki series. He must have the mission to “fix” the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) together with Wolverine who, as everyone knows, is not a “good” guy, like the talkative and dissolute Wade Wilson (Deadpool).
