In 1966, while working as a cameraman on the set of Django, Enzo Barboni began writing. We call it the Trinity. At the height of the Italian western, where Sergio Leone and Sergio Corbucci were prominent, the director made a bold bet on parodying the genre.
Released in 1970, the film actually marks a turning point in the Spaghetti Western: the atmosphere is fun, the violence of the murders is humorless, the shootouts resemble Lucky Lucas duels, and the silent guns are replaced by very talkative characters.
In the skin of the heroes Bambino and Trinita, this comic features two brothers with diametrically opposite characters, Terence Hill and Bud Spencer, who are already partners in other projects. The biggest hit at the Italian box office until 1986, We call it the Trinity Pushing them to stardom. In the process, a sequel is launched, simply titled We Continue It Trinity, which achieves similar success.
