SBT promoted, this Thursday (1), a press conference to launch +SBT, a 100% free streaming platform of Silvio Santos’ broadcaster.
Roberto Grosman, Director of Digital Transformation at SBT, and Carolina Gazal, Director of Multi-Platform Content at SBT, spoke to those present and provided more details on +SBT, which has a similar strategy to Samsung TV Plus and Pluto TV, combining FAST live (linear) channels with a wide selection of on-demand content, at no cost to the channel’s users and fans.
One of the big bets of the new streaming is the “SBT Collection”, which will arrive bringing original documentary series that tell the stories of artists who have shone or still shine on the broadcaster’s screen, such as Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega and Hebe Camargo.
“I feel that SBT is my home and I will be there until the last day of my life,” Nóbrega said at the press conference.
According to the broadcaster, +SBT’s goal is to “make audiovisual entertainment more democratic and accessible to all Brazilian families.”
Content coming out of the oven with +SBT
+SBT will immediately carry the titles “Cazalbé, O Herdeiro da Graça” and “Hebe, A Cara da Coragem”. Also promising are others such as: “Gugu, Toninho & Augusto” and “Divina Christina”. Each of these documentaries recounts the careers, lives, successes and setbacks of these great names.
+SBT will also present a diverse catalogue of successful soap operas that have marked and continue to mark generations, as well as series, films, children’s and youth content, TV programmes and live broadcasts from SBT.

As for the linear channels, each one will have its own language and identity and a specific programming depending on the audience, with different time options, in addition to the highlights of the television programming. They are: +Humor, +Silvio Santos, +Saudade, +Pop, +Novelas, +Criança, +Series, +Cinema, +Informação and +TVZYn.
According to the broadcaster, much of the channels’ programming and many other titles will be available to watch whenever and wherever you want. The platform’s catalogue includes iconic programmes already broadcast by SBT, such as “Show do Milhão”, “De Frente com Gabi”, “Programa Livre” and “Fantasia”. International series and films such as “Albert Nobbs”, “Dr Who”, “H2O Meninas Sereias”, “Haven” and “Citas Barcelona”, as well as hits such as “As Aventuras de Poliana” and “Cúmplices de um Resgate”.

Personalization of content and profiles
Each SBT account will allow the creation of up to five profiles, which can have their own custom video/episode lists and titles. There is also the option to create profiles for children in a simplified interface, restrictions for programmes rated up to 12, as well as parental controls to set indicative rating limits and a four-digit PIN to limit access to the profile, the broadcaster said.
Launch and Availability
+SBT will be available from August 18 on Android and iOS smartphones, computers, tablets (Android and iPadOS), Samsung and LG Smart TVs, screen mirroring via Chromecast and Google TV, as well as devices with Android TV operating system.
