And the series starring Ana María Orozco and Jorge Enrique Abello broke a record, becoming the Latin American production with the largest global audience in its premiere week in Prime Video history.
Because of this and the support fans have shown for the series, the company has confirmed that ‘Ugly Betty: The Story Continues’ will have a second season.
Not many details about her have been revealed. But considering the timing of the former, it is speculated that it could arrive on the platform in mid-to-late 2025. Most likely, Prime Video will make an official confirmation soon.
Did Armando Give Up on Betty Forever in “Ugly Betty: The Story Continues”?
In the last episode of season 1 we finally saw how, after so many objections, Armando prepared to sign the divorce papers with Betty.
Not only that, but he found time to personally deliver them to his beloved at the beach where she went to clear her head.
Although it seems that after all these years Armando and Betty’s story has finally come to an end, it is possible that Season 2 will deal with how both characters experience being single.
Don Armando will likely revert to his Don Juan ways, and as we saw at the end of ‘Ugly Betty: The Story Continues’, perhaps Betty will find another love that appreciates her more.

If there’s one thing that surprised all ‘Ugly Betty’ fans, it’s that at the end of the first season Betty meets a mysterious man on the beach.
She is glad to see him, she tells him that she has been waiting for him and that now that she is alone she is glad to see him. Fans are wondering who this mystery man could be and they already have several theories about it.
Some say he could be “the Frenchman” from the original series, who would have returned to Carthage so he could consummate the love he always felt for Betty. If so, it will be added to actors who returned to the Prime Video series.
Others say it could be Esteban, Betty’s lawyer with whom she had a special relationship in the first season.
However, there are those who have gone further and say that Betty is probably very drunk due to her recent divorce from Armando and is imagining everything in her head.
