The 25-year-old player negotiates with Glorioso
Botafogo are negotiating with right-back Vitinho and already have a salary agreement with the player, according to ge this Monday (19). The offer is for a loan with an option to buy.
Botafogo are looking for a new right-back for their squad after the case of indiscipline Damian Suárez. The Uruguayan player refused to go to the match against Bahia after receiving an offer from Peñarol. The athlete was subsequently removed by coach Artur Jorge.
Who is Vitinho?
Vitinho is 25 years old and currently plays for Burnley, a team in the second division of the English league. A right back by profession, the player also played on the left, in addition to being able to play as a winger on the wings.
In Brazil, Vitinho was a breakout player for Cruzeiro, but with just one professional game, as well as spending time with the Brazilian youth system. Before England, he spent four years at Cercle Brugge in Belgium.
The deal is not yet close to being concluded, not even with the agreement with the player. Vitinho is a starter for Burnley, the league leader.
The Brazilian is a priority and a main target for the job, but Botafogo already has at least two other names tracked if there is no agreement between Glorioso and the English team. Vitinho has also been approached by other Brazilian teams, such as Flamengo and Internacional.
