American actor Michael Madsen, 66, known for roles in films such as “Kill Bill” (2003), “Free Willy” (1993) and “Thelma & Louise” (1991), has been arrested on charges of domestic violence against his wife, DeAnna Madsen.
Malibu police received reports of complaints in the early hours of Saturday (8/17), Variety magazine reported. Michael Madsen was arrested shortly after authorities arrived and released a few hours later after posting a $20,000 bond.
An adviser to the actor informed the magazine that the incident was the result of a disagreement between Madsen and his wife. “This was a disagreement between Michael and his wife, which we hope to resolve in a way that is positive for both of them,” he said.

Actress Virginia Madsen’s brother already has a history at the local police station, having been arrested twice for drunk driving in the Malibu region, in 2012 and 2019, and having been forced to undergo a rehabilitation program. Madsen rose to fame through his friendship with Tarantino.
