THE Netflixhas released the premiere date and official trailer for its new series true crime, Monsters: Menendez Brothers: Parent Killerscreated by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. The production will be available from September 19th and is the latest addition to the anthology Monsterswhich began with Dahmer: An American Cannibal.
The series will explore the brothers’ case Lyle and Erik Menendezconvicted in 1996 of the brutal murder of their parents, José and Kitty Menendez. The story attracted media attention at the time, mainly due to the brothers’ claims that the crime was the result of years of physical, emotional and sexual abuse committed by their parents. The prosecution, on the other hand, claimed that the brothers killed to inherit the family fortune.
In the main cast, Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Cooper Koch play the Menendez brothers, while Javier Bardem and Chloe Sevigny live the roles of parents. Other names include Nathan Lane, Ari Graynor, Leslie Grossman and Dallas Roberts.
