Todd Phillips Says Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn Is Different From Previous Harley Quinns

Director of Joker: Delirium for Twolong-awaited sequel to Joker, Todd Phillips stated that the Harley Quinn of Lady Gaga will be different from all previous adaptations seen by fans of the character.

“The loud voice, the accent, the chewing gum and all that kind of sassy stuff that’s in the comics, we took all that out.”said to Variety. “We wanted her to fit into this Gotham world that we created from the first film.”

In the same interview, Lady Gaga also spoke about the risks taken by Phillips when performing Joker: Delirium for Twowhich will be a musical: “Todd took a big risk with this whole concept and with the script, giving the sequel Joker this audacity and complexity”he stated.

“[O filme] it has music, it has dance, it’s a drama, it’s also a courtroom drama, it’s a comedy, it’s happy, it’s sad. It’s a test for [Todd] as a director, that he would rather be creative than just tell a traditional love story”added the artist.

In Joker: Delirium for Twowe must follow the birth of the explosive relationship between Arthur Fleckwho at the end of the first film assumed the identity of Joker and began to terrorize the city of Gotham, and its psychiatrist, Harley Quinnwho ends up madly in love with her patient. Who else is in the cast?

In addition to Joaquin Phoenix again in the skin of Arthur Fleck/Joker, Zazie Beetz also returns in the second film as Sophie Drummondthe villain’s romantic interest in the first film. Among the new features, Lady Gaga is the main addition, but it also gains the company of Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin), Jacob Lofland (A Son), Catherine Keener (Run!), Ken Leung (Lost) and Harry Lawtey (The Pale Blue Eye).
