‘Accident’ joined the Mexican Netflix series that are full of suspense. As its name suggests, its plot centers on an unexpected tragedy that completely transforms three families involved.

It arrived on Netflix on Wednesday, August 21, and its cast consists of several famous Mexican stars.

“Accident” cast: which Mexican actors are in the cast of the Netflix series?

Mexican actress Ana Claudia Talancón leads the Netflix series. In it she plays Daniela, one of the mothers affected by the fatal accident that happened on a children’s inflatable.

Eréndira Ibarra joins her in the role of Lupita. The actress has had an extensive career in international productions such as ‘Sense8’ and “Matrix Resurrections” (where she stood out as a Mexican) and now he adds this work to his career.

Where was the Netflix series ‘Accident’ filmed?

“Accident” takes place in Mexico and is no accident. According to Leonardo Padrón, executive producer of the series, this decision was made by Netflix due to plans to develop content in Latin America:

Mexico has become a very strong center for the production of Spanish content for the entire world. But this is a global story. It doesn’t matter where it happens. It could be in Mexico City, Madrid, Rio de Janeiro, Caracas, Tokyo. The geography that matters most is the emotional geography of the characters.

In particular, the shots of “Accident” were recorded in Tequisquiapan, Querétaro, and in late 2023 some citizens saw Claudia Talancón and Horacio García recording their scenes, since several streets of the city were closed for the purposes of the program.

Is Netflix’s ‘Accident’ Based on a True Story?

According to Leonardo Padrón, “Accident” is not based on a true story. However, the producer admitted that the series presents “the sum of many true stories”:
