The cumulative result for the year, between January and July, is also the highest in the series, with 14.1 million passengers, higher than that recorded in the period before the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the top of the list of states that recorded the greatest increase in passengers on international flights are two airports in the south of the country, which absorbed flights canceled due to the closure of Salgado Filho Airport, in Porto Alegre. Florianópolis grew by 113%, while São José dos Pinhais (PR) recorded an increase of 87% in the January-July period, compared to the same period last year.
With the airport closed on May 3 due to the climate tragedy, Porto Alegre recorded a 41% drop. Despite the problem that occurred in Rio Grande do Sul, passenger movement on international flights increased by 43% in airports in the south of the country.
Subsequently, the airports that grew the most were Confins/MG (64%), Belém (51%), Fortaleza (45%) and Salvador (39%). The Brazilian airports that received the most international passengers were Guarulhos/SP and Galeão/RJ, with 31% and 9%, respectively, of the 14.1 million passengers registered in the period.
