One of the most intriguing projects presented at Gamescom 2024 is not a video game, but an animated series for adults. Secret Level from Prime Video is a new anthology series from the creators of the excellent Love, Death + Robots, namely Tim Miller alongside MGM Studios and Blur Studio, set in the world of some of the most popular video games that are appreciated worldwide.
In Secret levelEach game has its own story – so each episode (15 in total) will be a gateway to a short film and a new epic adventure inspired by symbols and characters and worlds of video games such as God of War, Mega Man, Unreal. Tournament, Pac-Man, Sifu, or even from the highly anticipated new titles.
And the first trailer of the series was revealed! This gives us a brief look at these beautifully animated shorts and the surprising ways the show’s creators are reimagining these iconic games.
Keanu Reeves in the animated series?
The biggest surprise of the trailer, though Secret level Perhaps announcing that Keanu Reeves himself is apparently starring in the series. The actor (or someone who looks a lot like John Wick and The Matrix star) can be seen in footage from the episode “Armored Core”. The character is indeed shown entering the Armored Core mecha and dressing up for battle.
