The telecommunications company Desktop, present in 184 municipalities in the interior of São Paulo and the coast of São Paulo, presents its first Sustainability Report for the year 2023. This milestone represents progress in the consolidation of sustainable practices that guide the business, sharing strategies and projects that affirm its performance in generating value for shareholders, collaborators, customers, communities and the environment.
The company was founded in the municipality of Sumaré, São Paulo, in 1997, still in the era of dial-up internet. In 2021, it went public and gained significant proportions after acquiring 10 companies in the sector operating in the state of São Paulo. This growth motivates the implementation of an ambitious sustainability agenda: to be an ESG benchmark among its competitors, by 2026. To establish this path, the company publicly shares, for all its stakeholders, the results obtained in a journey that lasted 27 years. of operations, more than 1 million distributed customers served by the services carried out by a team currently composed of more than 4 thousand direct employees.

Available in the Investor Relations section, ESG tab, of the official Desktop website, the publication follows the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) 2021, with widely recognized international guidelines, which offer a standard for transparent corporate sustainability reporting and comparable information on the organization’s performance.
The preparation process was guided by the first corporate materiality study and the analysis of topics of interest to the market, society, investors and executive leaders, which defined the priorities and influenced the creation of objectives that effectively integrate the environmental, social and governance agenda of operations.

2023 Highlights
Among the most notable results presented in the report is the acquisition of 1 million customers, which places Desktop as one of the fastest growing telecommunications companies in terms of revenue in Brazil. Other milestones are the recognition obtained last year, with Desktop elected as the best internet in the state of São Paulo, according to the Best Choice Award; initiatives in the field of digital transformation and cybersecurity; the evolution of the organization’s employee satisfaction indices (Employer Net Promoter Score -eNPS); the evolution of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion path; achieving 100% integration of the commercial portfolio; the creation of the Desktop app, which strengthens relationships and improves customer service and satisfaction; the results of the carbon inventory that support the implementation of actions focused on reducing the environmental impacts generated; and the future vision of the organization, as a public commitment for the coming years.
