How did Accident, a Mexican series for which Netflix has not established a communication, manage to surpass Emile in Paris and become the most watched production of the moment on the platform? Probably thanks to word of mouth. It is currently being talked about on social networks

“I laughed so hard I cried because I just started the second most popular series on Netflix called Accident and they spend 20 minutes setting up a tragic event that happens at a birthday party for kids. It was very windy and the palace full of children flew away.”
In Accident, a birthday party turns tragic and divides a wealthy, previously close-knit community, destroying families, destroying friendships and breaking hearts. From these images, we understand that the accident involves an inflatable for children, which flies away in a gust of wind, taking with it the offspring of their parents, who watch the scene in amazement.
Accidents are still very common
If this passage managed to make some viewers laugh, it is because of its ultra-dramatic side and let’s say the disastrous performance of the actors and the shaky production (are we talking about the music too?). Not to mention the special effects of the final scene, which sees a blooming castle flying higher and higher in the sky…
Unless the accident is adapted from a true story and all’s well that ends well, this type of incident is not uncommon and can even have fatal consequences. In April last year, two children, aged 7 and 10, had to be taken to hospital after an inflatable climbing wall was blown over by a huge gust of wind in Pow…
First, but not in the hearts of subscribers
Despite its unexpected first place in the weekly chart, Accident did not necessarily convince subscribers. With an average of 2.7 out of 5, the series is often called “Turf” and “telenovela” On file by internet users:
“I’ve wasted enough time watching, I’m not going to waste any more time than necessary to comment.” No. Don’t look at this. It’s played badly, it’s really bad, it’s a failure. Don’t thank me, I’ll gladly spare you that.(JustMe)
“What can I say…very poorly acted, pathetic story, I wasted my time watching this crap. When to avenge an accident?” (lonely)
“The telenovela category: highly exaggerated dramatic intensity. The only interesting point of this drama series is its writing.” (Lecter_H)
“What a waste of time. The actors play very badly. The plot is really solid. Paying for a turf subscription is getting annoying.” (Sarah Frech)
Despite these few poor reviews, Accident was a huge success worldwide. Here’s what we can hope for in Season 2, which will delight his fans.
