A Better Life Preview: What’s in store for Friday, August 30, 2024 Episode 159 [SPOILERS]

Yolande and Mirta give themselves a whole new life

At the Masalia residence, Yolande informs Mirta that she was able to resell the gifts online. Mirta is shocked because she has never asked a colleague for a plaid and her Charenteza.

Yolande explains to her that it was for a good cause, and then takes a gift package from her bag. Inside is a virtual reality headset. Yolande confides to Mirta: “Here is a portal to adventure.”

A few minutes later, the two women try out a new toy. Residents were happy to take this unusual scene. Suddenly, Mirta tells Yolande that she misses her Charenteza and plaid, because that helmet is a bit revolutionary for her, but Yolande doesn’t want to hear anything.

Jennifer accepts a job offer

In Mistral, Jennifer visits her new friend, Barbara. He gives her a gift: it’s an orange blossom scented candle. The head chef is excited by this subtle attention.

Suddenly, Jennifer’s cell phone rings. It is Gabriel who offers to return and work in the medical office. Jennifer tells Barbara that she doesn’t know what to do, especially since she has bad memories of being fired.

Barbara explains to him that since he is no longer there, it is very difficult to get an appointment at the doctor’s office. In fact, doctors can no longer cope and absolutely need a secretary.

A few minutes later, Jennifer arrives at the office. He asks his former colleagues to take a 10% raise and be able to finish on Friday afternoon. Gabriel accepts these two conditions.

But against all odds, Jennifer adds another layer by asking for 30 minutes more on her lunch break, as well as a twice-weekly back massage. As Gabrielle agrees, Jennifer claims it’s a joke. He adds that he is happy to collaborate with them again. It’s two-way!

The identity of the culprit is known

Thomas consults Leah for a checkup. Suddenly they receive a message on the phone: it is a summons to go to the villa, the place where the evening was held. Thomas is afraid to return to this place where his life has changed.

On the other hand, Jean-Paul is also surprised by this summons. He asks Meilin what’s going on, but she doesn’t know. Patrick and Ariane inform them that it was the judge’s idea. Jean-Paul is furious, thinking he is still a suspect in Thomas’ shooting.

A few minutes later, everyone goes to the villa for the reaction. Patrick tells them that he brought them together to find out what happened. They are now convinced that Thomas was a collateral victim to settle scores, and the judge believes that the killer is among them.

Ariane asks the guests to position themselves exactly where they were before the shooting. Thomas starts, followed by Steve, Jean-Paul, Ulysses and Leah. Now only Meilin is left. He explains to the police that he was in the back, on the left.

Finally, once everyone is back in their seats, Ariane declares that the culprit is someone the police had complete confidence in, then begins recording a voiceover in which we hear Maylin calling for help. The commissar warns the emergency services that it is a gunshot. How could he know the origin of the injury?

Meilin has no choice but to admit the truth: she was the one who wanted to photograph Mario Rossi. Then he approaches Thomas and apologizes. However, he says that since Ross died, he feels relieved.

With a lump in her throat and tears in her eyes, Ariane tells Maylin that she’s busy…
