Feature film starring Fernanda Montenegro, Fernanda Torres and Selton Mello was shown last Sunday, the 1st, at the Venice Film Festival
I’m Still Herenew film by Walter Salles (Central Brazil, On the road), who is directing his first Brazilian feature film after Pass Linereleased in 2008, moved the audience at the Venice Film Festival, where it was shown last Sunday, September 1st.
Inspired by the book of the same name by Marcelo Rubens Paivathe production tells the story of the author’s mother, Eunicewho fought to discover the whereabouts of her husband, the former deputy Rubens Paivadisappeared during the military dictatorship.
According to information from Flavia Guerra, from Uol, I’m Still Here brought the audience to tears, including Marcelo Rubens Paivawho was present at the session. In addition, the film, which is Brazil’s big bet for the 2025 Oscars, was applauded for about 10 minutes at the end of the session. Check out a record:
