Netflix: Two stars of the 2000s return in a surprising romantic comedy

Thanks to two iconic teen series, these two actors were stars in the 2000s, now Netflix is bringing them together in a new comedy series that is sure to blow your mind.

Two stars of the 2000s have teamed up for a Netflix series

So you’ll see Kristen Bell, famous for voicing Veronica Mars and Gossip Girl, and Adam Brody, famous for playing Seth Cohen in Newport Beach, reuniting more than 10 years later when they collaborated on House of Lies.

Even though we have seen a little less of them on screens since the end of their TV dramas, they remain icons of an entire nostalgic generation and have excelled in various projects.

You’ve probably seen Kristen Bell in The Good Place and The Woman Who Lived opposite The Girl in the Window, Bad Moms, and heard her voice again in the animated movies Frozen, Zootopia, or Ralph 2.0.

On the other hand, Adam Brody played in the series Mrs. America and Anatomy of a Divorce and in Jennifer’s Body, Lovelace, Scream 4, Promising Young Woman, Wedding Nightmare and Shazam!.

An atypical couple for a comic love story

Kristen Bell and Adam Brody star in Nobody Wants This, a quirky romantic comedy about the birth of a difficult but not impossible love story: Joan, an agnostic producer, and Noah, an unconventional one.

When they meet at a dinner party hosted by a mutual friend, their chemistry is undeniable, despite their cultural differences and opposing views on life. Their families and loved ones do not approve of this relationship, and yet their romance takes a decisive direction.

Series creator Erin Foster was inspired by her own personal experiences to write this fiction, which, judging by its fun and exciting trailer, promises to be a heart-warming back-to-school surprise. The rest of the cast includes Justin Lupp (Legacy) and Timothy Simmons (Veep).

The series “Nobody Wants This” will be available on September 26 on Netflix.
