Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga star Anya Taylor-Joy wants to do a musical and play Disney’s favorite princess.
Anya Taylor-Joy is one of the major stars of Hollywood today, starring in The Witch, The Queen’s Gambit AND Furiosa: A Mad Max Sagaand revealed that she would love to play one of the most beloved Disney princesses in live-action: Elsa, from Frozen.
In an interview with Vogue Hong Kong (via Deadline), Anya Taylor-Joy confessed her desire to star in a musical film. “I really want to do a musical because I’m a little too obsessed with my current job. I love the challenge of completing impossible tasks. I find that incredibly motivating for me, so the idea of being able to sing, dance and act at the same time is really exciting for me.”.
The musical role chosen by Anya Taylor-Joy is none other than Elsa, the Disney princess who stars in the opera Frozen: A Frozen Adventure (2013) and Frozen 2 (2019).
I think Frozen will be great. Throwing ice cubes out of your hands can be a lot of fun. And you’ll be a favorite at every kid’s birthday party. All my siblings have kids now, so I’d love for them to be able to say, “My aunt is Elsa.” That would be awesome!
At the moment, it’s all just a dream for Anya Taylor-Joy, as a live-action Frozen has not been officially announced. But it would be an incredible lineup, right? Speaking of which, Anna and Elsa’s new adventures are confirmed by Disney: Frozen 3 will be released in theaters in 2027 and Frozen 4 There is no release date yet.
