Sesi Bauru beats EC Praia and takes the lead in Paulista

This Friday (6), Sesi Bauru defeated EC Praia by 3 sets to 0, with partial scores of 25/22, 25/16 and 25/18, and temporarily took over the leadership of the Paulista men’s volleyball team. The day also included two other matches of the tournament. Atibaia defeated Santo André 3-0, while Suzano defeated São José 3-1. Finally, in the women’s match, Osasco defeated Renasce Sorocaba by 3 sets to 0, with partial scores of 25/16, 25/17 and 25/14.

Sesi Bauru and EC Praia opened the Paulista men’s volleyball triple round this Friday, at the Paulo Skaf Arena. There, the home team did not encounter many difficulties, winning the match by 3 sets to 0. With ten points each, Marcos Júnior and striker Lukas Bergmann led Sesi’s victory. With the triumph, the team reached 10 points and temporarily took the lead in the standings. This is because Guarulhos, third in the standings, has eight points and a match less. EC Praia remains in fourth place, with six points.

Atibaia triumphed 3 sets to 0 against Santo André, with scores of 25/13, 25/23 and 25/29. The team thus obtained its first victory in the tournament and reached the 6th place with three points. Meanwhile Santo André continues without winning or gaining points, in 8th place.

In the end, Suzano won away against São José by 3 sets to 1, with scores of 23/25, 25/22, 25/12 and 25/23. With the triumph, Suzano moved to the provisional vice-leadership with nine points. On the other hand, São José has two points in three matches and occupies the 7th place.

In the women’s field, Osasco visited and defeated Renasce Sorocaba by 3 sets to 0 (25/16, 25/17 and 25/14), in the only match on Friday night. Therefore, the team maintained 100% success and reached 9 points in the tournament. Osasco therefore moves into second place together with Pinheiros, behind only Barueri Volley Club that has 10 points. However, both Pinheiros and Barueri have a more match. Sorocaba (6th), on the other hand, has not yet won and continues without scoring.
