After Yellowstone… the creator’s new series plunges us into the middle of the oil war

On November 18, a new series produced by Taylor Sheridan will make its television debut. The American screenwriter is the creator of Yellowstone and its spin-offs, but his name can also be found in the credits of such successful series as Tulsa King, The Mayor of Kingstown, Lioness and the western anthology Lawmen.

After Montana and Yellowstone, head to Texas!

His new production called Landman takes place in his native Texas. The program tells the story of rich businessmen and oil company employees in the ruthless world of black gold business. Low blows and betrayal will be at the heart of this series inspired by the American podcast Boomtown.

For the occasion, Taylor Sheridan was surrounded by a prestigious cast, including Billy Bob Thornton topping the bill. Landman also stars Demi Moore, Jon Hamm, and Andy Garcia in a recurring role. Also keep in mind that Landman doesn’t take place in the Yellowstone Expanded Universe (so a crossover between the two series is out of the question).

Pure Taylor Sheridan

Taylor Sheridan’s touch is felt from the first images of the trailer. Bad characters in the center of interesting intrigues and sharp dialogues (“I don’t drink alcohol anymore, so I only drink beer”) is featured in this twentieth series created by the prolific American screenwriter.

The first season of Landman has 10 episodes, two of which will be offered at launch. The second season has already been ordered and filming will begin before the end of the year. Remember that Taylor Sheridan will also be in the news this fall with Tulsa King and Lioness seasons 2 and Yellowstone season 5 episode 2.

Season 1 of Landman premieres November 18th exclusively on Paramount+.
