Plus belle la vie: Were the writers really inspired by Desperate Housewives? Lea Francois (Barbara) answers

For a few days in Plus belle la vie, even plus belle, Barbara (Léa François), Blanche (Cecilia Hornus), Luna (Anna Desis) and Jennifer (Diane Dassin) have been in turmoil.

Last week, four friends traveled to the Luberon to meet a chef who could help them with their associate program. Unfortunately, on their way back, they had a terrible encounter.

Yannis, a former companion of one of their protégés, actually followed them to set up a trap. In her panic, Barbara accidentally hit the man, who died instantly. Then the four women decided to bury him in the middle of the forest and keep silent about this event forever.

Unfortunately, in Plus belle la vie, even plus belle, nothing goes as planned. Alerted to Yanis’ disappearance, the police began an investigation led by Samuel. So the four friends will have to track down the cop and his investigation if they have any hope of escaping.

The story is inspired by the famous American series

If this story means anything to you, that’s totally fine. The writers of Plus belle la vie, encore plus belle seem to have been inspired by the famous Desperate Housewives plot.

Remember: In the Season 7 finale, Gabi (Eva Longoria) met her stepfather Alejandro (Ramon Sanchez), who abused her when she was little. While he tries to take advantage of her once again, Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira), in his defense, beats the man to death.

Bree (Marcia Cross), Lynette (Felicity Huffman) and Susan (Terry Hatcher) then make the decision to protect their friends by burying the body. The four women promised each other never to say anything. This was without regard for Susan, who had a hard time living with this secret.

An amazing story, which is therefore reminiscent of the new arc of Plus belle la vie, even more beautiful.

Léa Francois proves an inspiration

Netizens were quick to express their surprise on social media over the striking similarities between the two TV series. In a story posted on her Instagram account, Léa Francois, who plays Barbara, confirmed that the plot was indeed an homage to Desperate Housewives.

Between Desperate Housewives and Little Liars. And we are not done with our surprises…“- he explained. The Pretty Little Liars homage the actress is talking about should arrive in the coming days.

The four friends actually meet a crow who threatens to reveal everything. That’s why Luna, Barbara, Blanche and Jennifer are far from serving their sentence.
