Winnie the Pooh’s friendly little pink pig is back! But in a much less appealing version… Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey and its sequel, it’s Piglet’s turn to get its spin-off horror movie, Piglet.
In this horror feature film directed by Andrea M. Catinella, a group of friends who come to celebrate Kate’s 21st birthday in the woods, meet Pig, a disgusting bloodthirsty human-pig hybrid. They discover the origin of the pig and Kate must face her past to survive against this ruthless killer.
Piggy is led by Lauren Staerk, Alina Desmond, Valerie Danko, Shaylee Reagan and Alexander Butler.
The trailer promises a horror movie that is far from the original work. Note that Piglet is not related to the Rhys Frake-Waterfield films, where Winnie the Pooh and his friends became bloodthirsty creatures that hate humans. This is a separate film.
Our childhood heroes, the scary version
After entering the public domain in 2022, the characters from AA Milne’s 1926 Forest of Blue Dreams have been transformed into a terrifying version from 2022.
But the tender children’s characters are not the only ones who have been treated with nightmare versions after the diversions of Bambi (Bambi: The Reckoning), Peter Pan (Peter Pan: Neverland Nightmare and Peter Pan Goes to Hell), the Mad Kudher. ensemble film Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble) and even Mickey with Screamboat, a parody homage to Steamboat Willie, one of the first shorts featuring the famous mouse in 1928, also saw the light of day.
Also note that after the pig, Andrea M. Catinella is working on a rival project to Screamboat called Mouseboat Massacre, in which a young woman struggling with drug addiction suddenly begins to see a human-mouse hybrid. People around him die one after another.
The release date has not been announced yet a pig But there is little chance that the film will hit the theaters. Like Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 1 and 2, the horror film should be available on VOD.
