Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Won’t Have Early Access to Campaign

Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies modes will only be available at launch

Activision has confirmed that, unlike in recent years, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will not have early access to the campaign.

“The team is completely focused on October 25th. We are excited about everything the game has to offer in the campaign, multiplayer and zombies”the company told its website Charlie Intel. “This year we made the decision to ensure that the community can explore as many modes as they want at the same time, so we’re getting back on track with a global launch on October 25. As such, there’s no Early Access planned.” Black Oops 6 is just a countdown away from launch this year.”

In previous years, it was possible to play Call of Duty campaigns a few days before launch by simply pre-purchasing the game digitally.

As highlighted by the Charlie Intel page, Activision’s decision did not go down well with players, who took to social media to express their dissatisfaction with the change.

“Brother, why?!”asked KRNG content creator Apollo. “They make a great decision one year and then they backtrack the next. I will never understand, really.

“That’s typical Call of Duty. You make a good decision one year and abandon it the next.” XVItheGreat stated.

“It’s a shame, the early access campaign was one of the best decisions made in the last 5 years” said another player.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 arrives October 25 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The game will also be available via Xbox Game Pass.
