Ramalho, in the 51st minute of the second half, scored the goal that made Corinthians 3-1 over Juventude, this Wednesday (9/11), at Neo Química. His goal in this second leg of the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil prevented the decision from going to penalties. After all, Timão, in the first leg, in Caxias do Sul, lost 2-1. In the end, it was his goal that took Corinthians to the semifinals of the Copa do Brasil without having to go to penalties. What’s more, it was the first one he had scored since arriving at Parque São Jorge.

“My first goal, very important. It shows a bit what it is, believing until the end. The spirit of this club and today was like that, with drama and emotion until the end. Since I arrived they have spoken a lot about Corinthians’ determination and I have adapted”, he said, in conclusion:

“This is playing for this club, believing in it until the last minute. This is Corinthians. We will work for much more. Thank God we have qualified and we must continue to work, there are many good things to come.”

Money in the pockets of the Corinthians

With the classification, Corinthians earned another R$9.45 million. Add the prizes from the previous stages and the team already has R$22.89 million. Now, the Timão/team from Rio Grande do Sul awaits the winner of Flamengo x Bahia to discover its rival in the semifinals. In the first leg, in Salvador, Fla scored 1-0 and will play for a draw in the return leg, which will take place this Thursday, at the Maracanã.
