One of the greatest legends of Brazilian TV, Silvio Santos recently left us at the age of 93 and a biopic about him was released in theaters. Silvio has Rodrigo Faro as protagonist and tells the story of the host after his kidnapping.

Born in 1930, Senor Abravanel, real name Silvio Santos, died on August 17 at the age of 93, due to complications from H1N1.

The actor also invited people to see the film in theaters, in homage to Silvio Santos. “It’s very nice to be able to pay this tribute… it’s very important to publicize this film to as many people as possible, so that we can strengthen national cinema. It’s very easy for cinema to fill up with blockbusters that come from abroad, but what we want to do is pay homage to an idol of our country”.
