Once upon a time there were some ghosts who called on a degenerate “bio-exorcist” to help them get rid of the (very) invasive living humans who had bought their house. Behind this pitch lies the iconic Beetlejuice (1988), the feature film that brought Tim Burton and Michael Keaton to Hollywood’s attention and allowed them to team up the following year on Batman.
Beetlejuice is back!
For thirty-six years the awaited, anticipated and sought after miscreant “Betelgeuse” (his real name) makes a big return to cinema in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, which sees the return of Winona Ryder. Michael Keaton and Kathryn O’Hara and invites young Jenna to “Wednesday” Ortega’s party. Let’s not forget the brilliant bob reduced and clearly Burton’s touch, which here finds all its splendor and sense of the poetic-macabre.
“Michelle, Michelle, Mish…”
This edition is an opportunity for Michelle and Michelle to go back in time, head to the home of Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis to uncover false connections from the original film. And quite a few are hiding in the attic near the model city! A spider that changes size, ghosts that have reflections, poorly camouflaged paint marks, shoes that change from red to white, a door handle that disappears: AlloCiné’s technicians reveal the mistakes, errors and very visible failures of the feature film.
