In the latest episodes of Demain, which we own, viewers witnessed the grand return of a Machiavellian character: Benoit Letelier. Nicknamed the “Monster of Argeneil”, this ruthless serial killer has already claimed nineteen victims. And unfortunately, this number is likely to increase.
The return of the irreconcilable Benoît Letelier
Earlier in the week, Benoit Letelier escaped from prison in the company of another prisoner well known to the Seto people: Sacha Girard (Renault Roussel), who is none other than Tristan’s brother (Mathieu Alexandre).
During their escape, the fugitives took three hostages: lawyers Soraya (Kenza Saib-Couton) and Rafaele (Jennifer Lorre), and Robin (Dominique Guillot), Alex’s brother (Alexandre Brasserie).
If the two women are now released, they are replaced by two other Setois: Lilu (Roman Park) and her classmate, Violet (Salome Benita). Both are prisoners in Lilo’s house.
For their part, investigators are convinced that Letelier escaped from prison with a specific goal: to resume his plan where he left off, that is, to punish parents who he believes are incompetent or have failed their children.
But Lisa (Naima Rodrique), Benoit’s ex-girlfriend, is convinced that he has another Machiavellian plan in mind, and so Girard will only be a pawn. So who is right or wrong?
While we wait to discover more about this thrilling escapade, we return with you to the brilliant career of Jean-Baptiste Maunier, the interpreter of Benoît Letelier in the series. Tomorrow belongs to us.
Jean-Baptiste Maunier, Eternal Singer
Only thirty-three years old, Jean-Baptiste Mounier already has twenty-one years of cinema. However, he really didn’t foresee anything to make a career in the Seventh Art. A young man especially gifted for singing could very well become a singer.
However, in 2004, his extraordinary voice infuriated director Christophe Baratier, who offered him a golden role: the role of soloist Pierre Morhange in his feature film Les Choristes. The film, which became a cinema classic and featured her opposite Gérard Junot, catapulted her into the limelight.
Indeed, his interpretation of the song Vois sur ton chemin continues to celebrate an entire generation of moviegoers today.
The following year, Jean-Baptiste Maunier discovered dubbing with the children’s animated film Piccolo, Saxo et Cie by Marco Villamizar. Then, immediately after, he got the role of Robert Pano at the age of fifteen in the TV series Le Cri.
Luck continues to smile at him, as in 2006 the young actor joined the cast of Jean-Daniel Verhee’s drama Le Grand Meaulnes. He plays Francois Seurel alongside actors Nicolas Duvachel and Clémence Poesy.
From 2006 to 2015, Jean-Baptiste Maunier appeared several times in series such as Zak, Mes Cers Disparus, but also Merlin, where he once again played the character of Lancelot with Gérard Juniot, but also with Josephine de Meus or again with Marilou Berry. .
In 2016, the young French actress played one of the main roles in the short film A/K by filmmaker Olivier van Hufstadt. His performance earned him a nomination in the Adam’s Talent category at the Cannes Film Festival.
Three years later, Jean-Baptiste Mounier continued his momentum with two more short films: Eva K by director Hugo Parton, as well as Les Fantômes by filmmaker Antoine Barrio.
Then, after brief appearances in the series Léo Matteï, The Minor Brigade and The Need for Love, Jean-Baptiste Maunier joined the iconic TF1 daily: Tomorrow belongs to us.
In terms of filming, is it still possible for a young man to be cast in a romantic comedy in 2025? By Jacques Vanish with Nadia Fares, Amanda Lear and Patrick Ridremont.
