A Better Life: What’s Next for Aya and Killian? Johanna Boyer tells us everything

The return of Plus belle la vie, even plus belle last January on TF1 was marked by the arrival of several new characters. Among them was Aya Konate, Javad’s half-sister and Mistral’s new commission cook.

Very quickly, she falls under the spell of Killian (Tim Russo). Unfortunately, Betty’s arrival turns everything upside down in their beautiful love story. Although it’s clear they still have feelings for each other, they’ve now split up while Killian sorts out his love life.

At the La Rochelle Fantasy Festival, AlloCiné spoke to Johanna Boyer, her translator, to find out what’s in store for her character in the coming weeks.

AlloCiné: It’s been 8 months since you joined PBLV. What do you make of these first months and the evolution of your character?

Johanna Boyer : I am very satisfied with the evolution of my character. I had the opportunity to play a lot of different things. Before joining Plus belle la vie, I acted in a few serials, but they were somewhat simple characters.

Aya is generally a good character, but sometimes she was very sad, on the contrary, very happy. He was emotionally frustrated. It’s a crazy experience. And I study every day. A nicer life is better than any school I’ve ever been to. I go from laughter to tears, from joy to drama.

Upon entering Mistral, Aya fell under Killian’s spell. Unfortunately, Betty’s arrival, and especially her internment, put an end to their relationship. Is the hope of seeing them together really over?

They are still in love, but the only dark spot in this story is Betty. So while Killian is married to her, it’s going to be hard for Aya to know if she has time for him. So, it will depend on how Betty lives in the mental hospital and whether she decides to divorce or not.

Aya is not ready to stay in a relationship with a married person. So for now, their relationship is on hold and will remain so until Beth is ready to go through the divorce process.

And exactly, since Aya and Killian are no longer a couple, could she have gone out with someone else?

No, I don’t think so. For now, she is focused on her little Killian. He is too much in love. And as long as he is not tempted, he will not look elsewhere.

You share a lot of scenes with Tim Russo. Is the relationship going well?

It’s going really well. I was a little scared at first, especially since Tim is younger than me, but he is very mature. At first I thought he was a crazy troubadour. I wondered if we could be serious together. But no, it’s going very well. I think I suppress it, so we got along really well. I am happy to have a partner like him.

Aya also has a very beautiful relationship with Javad who has always supported her. Will this relationship be explored further in future episodes?

Yes, it will happen. She doesn’t like the romantic relationship between Ariane and Javad at all. He will oppose it. Their relationship isn’t necessarily affected because it remains sibling, but he makes his point very clear. And for their future, I don’t really know if David Bayot will come back, but what I can say is that their relationship is authentic and sincere. So there is still a very strong bond between them.

And how is your collaboration with David Bayot going?

It’s going very well. He is a very warm and sunny person. He put me at ease from the start as I was very nervous entering such a cult series. I didn’t want to disappoint the fans. And David reassured me. He told me that the people were very kind and caring. We also have a good relationship off camera.

Are there things you want to explore with your character?

Ophel Kepler, my best friend in the series, is a fashion designer. I really want to follow him sometimes in his shows or creative madness. I also like a bit of music, singing and dancing sometimes.

It would be good, for example, a performance in residence or a show at Mistral. It might be cool. Otherwise, on the acting side, we always see Aya very happy and very empathetic towards people.

He is a sincere and honest person. It might be interesting to see him on the darker side. I want to be able to explore a side of Aya that we haven’t seen yet.

Is there an actor or character you wish you could share more scenes with?

It’s not really the character, but more the setting. I want to spend more time in residence. I’m often seen at the bar, which is normal because I work there, but I’d like to have more stories in the residency because it’s an area where we can explore a lot. We represent a new generation, so there is a lot to say and I want to be a part of it.

Do you have any projects outside of Plus belle la vie that you would like to tell us about?

This year I mainly focused on Plus belle la vie. I am a singer and I want to release singles. I love to sing and share. The connection between a singer and his audience is unique, and I want to make people feel emotions through singing.
