Ferrari boss says his goal is to win Singapore GP

Vasseur also underlined the competitiveness of the Maranello team

Ferrari team principal Frédéric Vasseur said this Wednesday (18) that the team’s goal is to win the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix.

The Frenchman analysed that the Maranello team is competitive, but maintained that good tyre management will be decisive for triumphing in the next phase of the category.

“We have another very demanding street circuit ahead of us, where our drivers love to race. We want to continue working well as a team, as we have done in the last races, and the last two Sundays have shown us the importance of tyre management. We should understand their behaviour better,” said Vasseur.

In Baku, Azerbaijan, Ferrari saw Charles Leclerc finish the stage in second place, behind only Australian Oscar Piastri, McLaren, but Carlos Sainz abandoned the race after hitting the wall.

Regarding the race results, Vasseur said it was not what he expected, but stressed that it speaks volumes about the high level of competitiveness of the current F1 season.

The premier category of world motorsport will return this weekend with the Singapore GP, the 18th round of the 2024 edition of the championship.
