“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” the sequel to the iconic 1988 film, was a box office and critical success. However, when Tim Burton decided to take on this project, no one believed him and the film almost never saw the light of day.
As the “Batman” director explained during his visit to Mexico City:
The film combined some of the original cast (Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara) with new faces such as Jenna Ortega and Monica Bellucci, resulting in a balance between nostalgia and new possibilities in the Beetlejuice universe.
Why did it take Tim Burton so long to release ‘Beetlejuice 2’?
“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” was almost a failed project. Its original budget was 147 million dollars, but Warner Bros. did not believe in the future of the sequel.

However, the deal meant that if they agreed to charge less up front, they would receive a larger share of the profits that would be collected in return.
Just two weekends after its release, ‘Beetlejuice Beatlejuice’ has grossed $264 million at the worldwide box office.
When does ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ premiere on streaming?
Although the exact date has not been confirmed, it is speculated that ‘Beetlejuice 2’ will be available on the Max (HBO) streaming platform at the end of the year. You can now watch the original 1988 film on this streaming service.
Will There Be a Third Movie: ‘Beetlejuice 3’?
After the phenomenal success of “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”, the media and fans wondered if there would be a third part of the story. To this, Tim Burton answered in the negative, remembering that 36 years passed between the first and second films:
