is it worth watching
The Maison allows the general public to immerse themselves in the ruthless world of fashion. Because yes, there is a different reality behind the scenes behind the sublime clothes and glamorous shows… The beginning of this story is reminiscent of the fall of fashion designer John Galliano.
But once we remember this scandal, we realize that the series provides food for thought about the phenomenon of cancellation culture more generally. One night, Vincent Ledoux (Lambert Wilson) is disgraced after making unspeakable remarks… and everything happens after that.
Beyond this new perspective on this closed industry, this fiction also presents more human issues in its intrigue. We discover the strained ties between two powerful clans (and the dynamics within them) in a way that plunges drama clean family And we love it!
The problems that our heroes face are entertaining, like the series, but especially well produced and well written. The house could be a cross between Succession and Dallas, creating a quality guilty pleasure, very beautiful and stylish.
The actors (which include many Cesars!) are excellent in their roles. Lambert Wilson perfectly portrays this outdated and disillusioned star maker, Carol Bouquet as Ledoux’s nefarious rival.
Amira Casar offers a performance that oscillates between strength and weakness, and Zita Hanrot is very convincing in this skin of wonders who wants to revolutionize the codes of the industry. Through the latter character, we are also interested in ecology’s place in fashion in 2024.
The sets and costumes are each more brilliant than the other. Outstanding places were chosen by the production and clothes were made especially for this big project. The pictures are meticulous and no detail is left to chance, it’s a feast for the eyes!
The features of our heroes (more unpleasant than sympathetic) are noteworthy. Finally, the music of the series is catchy and the credits are excellent.
short. Welcome to the La Maison show, sit front row and enjoy the show.
