Despite being one of the main films of his career, James Cameron, The Terminator (1984) has some “embarrassing” scenes, according to the director himself. With its success, the franchise would gain five sequels.
During an interview with Empirethe 70-year-old filmmaker spoke about how he sees the film, which turns 40 in 2024. “I don’t think of it as a Holy Grailthat’s for sure. I look at it now and there are parts that are pretty embarrassing, and parts that are like, ‘Yeah, we did pretty well with the resources we had available,'” he said.
Just the production value, you know? I don’t cringe at any of the dialogue, but I have a lower cringe factor than, apparently, a lot of people have around the dialogue that I write.
